Does Conflict Have to be so Scary?

Brrrrrr... does thinking about conflict send a shiver down your spine? Conflict is tough but there can be ways to appreciate it and turn your situation into fertilizer for growth.

If you're working in ministry then you've definitely dealt with and/or are currently dealing with some conflict. We can assume that we'll all just get along because we agree on a goal. I've been shocked at how that just isn't the case and under high stress situations, the tension can even get higher, breaking up groups, teams, and even churches.

This course is for you if you're willing to look at your own hurts and pains, dealing with how conflict is both an internal and external battle.

The more people in your team do this course the better so you all can discuss these tools and get on the same page!

Course objectives:

Join me in this video course where you’ll learn:

  • 5 different conflict styles
  • why conflict can be difficult for you
  • the benefits of healthy conflict
  • tips and practical tools to create healthy conflict in your ministry
  • bonus: discussion about apologies and problem solving (i.e., what if all this doesn't work??)

This is a self-paced course made up of four, 10 minute long (or less), videos plus 2 bonus videos and handouts to fit your busy lifestyle.

As a therapist who also has many years of experience in full-time ministry, I designed this course because I found a real need to talk about issues like this!

Hi, I'm Elaine Mains,

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.

Why do I create these courses? In 2001 I graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a BS in Psychology. I received my Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of San Diego, in 2005. I have over 10 years of experience as a full-time therapist, and almost 10 years of experience in full-time ministry. These courses were created to blend both these worlds together. I know how wonderful and hard it can be to work in ministry first hand and I would love to come along side you and support you in your journey.
